Greetings from CFD Support
As a full-service CFD engineering company, we deliver solutions that help our clients to reach their goals.
Our business strategy is supporting OpenFOAM® CFD software at our client’s site (usually mid or big industrial companies). We have top level team of developers, which allows us creating tailored made projects for our clients.
At CFD Support we also understand the challenges of modern companies workflow. Our long term goal is building bridges between top-class development and real practice.
Please feel free to tell us about your needs. We will support you on your way to smart and efficient prototyping of your product.
Innovative trends in virtual designing
In industrial practice many virtual tests are being done. A result of those tests may be for example aerodynamic efficiency, various forces etc. The best designs are further tested using experimental measurements or are tested on other target, for example material strength.
The whole CFD process automation is probably the biggest challenge of the future leading to huge increase of productivity. The benefits are time and cost savings and elimination of human error. The whole CFD process can be automated (from preprocessing to CFD simulation and results in required data format). The new tools and methods are integrated into client’s existing PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) environments.
Another big trend is switching from commercial software to open-source. Many companies start to realize the difference between universal black-box and tailor-made approach. We observe two big groups among those who decided to switch from commercial CFD software to OpenFOAM®. The first group of people simply does not want to pay for commercial software licenses. The other group of people has higher ambitions and switch to open-source due to its customizability, support and accuracy. People from both groups are our clients.
Very hot recent trend is also cloud computing. Using cloud computational power on demand is very attractive especially in time of drastic changes and ubiquitous project planning. Many cloud providers even declare the cloud computing is the future of all HPC. This may be true for small and medium businesses but remains a question how big companies (the most attractive in the market) will react. The other issue may be the data confidentiality, over all the agreements there is a lot of to do to convince the market their data are really safe. Our company follows this trend. We believe the clouds can become an interface between end clients and service providers more than main HPC tool for companies.

Meet us at OpenFOAM® Training in Prague
As philosopher Eric Hoffer said, “In a time of drastic change, it is the learners who inherit the future.” We think the best way to success is the investment in personal growth.
We would like to kindly invite you to meet us at our regular public OpenFOAM® training in May 2014. It is a good opportunity to get known personally and have a discussion over (not only) CFD in general.
CFD support organizes public OpenFOAM® trainings, where the participants can get introduced with OpenFOAM® or they can significantly improve their knowledge of CFD. More …
